Six°north, Wanderlust Wheat.
Six°north are the self proclaimed Belgian brewers of Scotland. With Three venues around Scotland and opening up a new venue in February 2016 in Glasgow, These guys are one to watch! In my eyes with their vast Selection of Belgian inspired beers, These guys have found a gap in the market and are making their stand.
Six°north with Wanderlust Wheat.
From the pour
The traditional cloudy wheat beer, a nice light yellow body with a perfect Crisp white head that lasted too.
On the nose
Banana, cloves and the traditional wheat aroma of the style.
On the tongue
straight in your face no mistaking it, traditional wheat beer, tasting the yeast, banana and wheat, on the back of the tongue hangs zesty orange, grapefruit, banana and some clean tartness with a sweet finish.
Have another one? yes I would. With its light carbonation it makes it a very smooth drink, ideally on a hot summers day or even paired with a ploughman lunch that would pair brilliant with the pickles and cheeses.
